We’ve had a number of new followers join us of late so thought we’d take a minute to say hello properly and introduce the team behind Little Learners! Hello! This is us! 💙
Donogh is the talent behind the operation. Born and bred in Naas, Co. Kildare, he studied furniture restoration and cabinet making at college in Galway, before deciding to go to Australia “for one year” at the beginning of 2008.
That one year plan changed somewhat when he met me, Jess, a born and bred Melbournian, at the end of 2008 at the Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda. I now help out with Little Learners by managing the social media and some admin.
We lived together in Melbourne for many years. We tied the knot in 2012, first in Melbourne, then a second wedding in Ireland later that year. But it wasn’t until 2017 that we decided the time was right to move to Ireland indefinitely and see what life would bring us here.
We soon found out we were expecting our first child, so the last few years have been quite the whirlwind. We welcomed our wonderful son in 2019 and Little Learners was really born from wanting to create play and learning equipment that would engage and support him as he grew. We love working with clients to create their dream play and learning equipment, so please feel free to drop us a message to discuss your ideas!
We can customise playhouses, learning towers, chairs and tables, sand pits, and more, and we already have a few enquiries for Christmas presents coming through. Because it really is a one man show, we will have limited availability going into the festive season, so if you were thinking of any of our product range for your little ones, particularly playhouses, it would be a good idea to get in touch sooner rather than later.

Hi there! We are a new, family-run business based in Naas, Co. Kildare and we build and deliver play and learning equipment to support your little ones as they grow. We use local suppliers and each piece is handmade right here at our home workshop!

In addition to our standard pieces, we can also customise products to meet your family's specific needs, so don't hesitate to contact us if you have a unique project in mind!

From learning towers to climbing frames, play houses to sensory tables, we have your needs covered! This business was borne out of a desire to build safe and engaging play and learning equipment for our own 2 year old son, so you can rest assured that the greatest of care has been taken with the design and craftsmanship of each piece.

This one does not have a finish on it, because the client wanted to paint it themselves, but generally we would offer a bees wax finish or a paint colour of your choice.
