Some journeys leave behind more than just work. They become a part of a place’s story.

Ayushi came into Enii Living with curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to learn, and over the last one and a half years, she grew alongside the brand in the most beautiful way. From working on her first large-scale fabric artworks to becoming a part of collections, exhibitions, conversations, celebrations, and everyday moments at the studio, her presence quietly shaped Enii in countless ways.

There is a certain quiet in the way work moves from one hand to another.

Someone begins it. Someone else adjusts it. Another pauses, looks closely, and changes something almost invisible. No single moment defines it, but together they build the piece.

You can trace that movement if you look closely. In the slight irregularity, in the softness of a line, in the way the surface feels held rather than finished.

The paisley, or what we recognise in India as the ambi, carries a form that feels instinctively familiar. A curved, swelling shape that echoes the kairi, the raw mango held mid-growth.

Over time, it moved across regions and techniques, adapting to each. In kani weaves it becomes intricate and elongated, in block prints it sharpens into rhythm, in brocades it holds structure and symmetry.

What makes the ambi enduring is its ability to transform without losing identity. It can hold dense internal detailing or remain minimal. It can lead a composition or quietly repeat within it. For textile designers, it is less a decorative element and more a foundational unit that builds flow, direction and balance across a surface.

There is a reason it feels especially present during mango season. Indian textiles have always drawn from lived surroundings. What grows in the land finds its way into cloth, and over time, into memory.

The brief was simple—create an artwork inspired by Japan, centered around Mt. Fuji and the rising red sun, for a commercial restaurant space in Jaipur.

We’ve been collaborating with for a while now, and we truly admire how seamlessly she integrates our art into the thoughtfully designed spaces she creates.

As with every custom project, we began with a hand-drawn sketch of the graphic. Once finalized, we brought it to life using Mochi Bharat embroidery, adding depth, texture, and craftsmanship to the piece.

We call it *Bento Art*—a creation that took 75 women-hours of skilled work to complete.

We’re hiring a Junior Textile Designer.

If you’re a fresh graduate with a curiosity for crafts, textiles, and surface stories, this might be for you. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with traditional techniques, exploring materials, and translating ideas into thoughtful designs.

You should be comfortable with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel, and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to patterns, textures, and embellishments.

Good communication skills in Hindi, Gujarati, and English are important since you’ll be working closely with teams and artisans.

This role is best suited for someone based in Ahmedabad or open to relocating.
