Not every day needs a reason.

Sometimes, you just wear something that feels right.

And somehow, everything follows !

At first glance, it looks simple.
But this saree is built, not added.

What is different here?
It's unique weave ,construction!

In Patteda Anchu sarees, the border isn't stitched on or printed later.
It is woven directly on the loom, thread by thread, along the body.

The stripe-like patterns you see are not surface design, but a result of how the threads are arranged .

Borders are thicker than the body which means saree doesn't need or extra finishing . It's ready to wear and easy to maintain.

The highlight is " many of these sarees are reversible ,with 2 different borders that can be worn on either side !!!!

What feels minimal is actually thoughtfully made.

Printed with mud. Dyed with indigo.
This is the art of Dabu printing.

A traditional resist dyeing technique where a mud paste is hand-block printed onto fabric to create patterns.

The process involves:
– Hand stamping with a natural mud resist
– Protecting the print with sawdust
– Dyeing in natural indigo
– Drying in air to develop colour through oxidation

Those tiny cracks you see are not flaws.
They’re a natural outcome of the resist process — making each piece unique.

A craft shaped by time, patience, and handwork.

Now that you know the process…
does it change the way you see it?

How to spot a real Hand-block print ?
Look closer 🧐
1. Slight pattern misalignments are a sign of hand-block prints, each design is stamped by hand, making every piece unique.
2. In authentic hand-block prints, the due gently seeps through the fabric, often visible on the back side.
3.Traditional dyes like indigo & syahi carry a subtle earthy aroma,a quiet mark of natural dyeing.

Crafted slowly! printed by hand.

Hand block printing is done one stamp at a time using hand -carved wooden blocks.
Because every block is placed manually, slight variation in alignment, color depth or spacing are natural.

These small irregularities are not defects, they are the signature of handcrafted textiles.
