(स्यूति शैली/সুতি শৈলী) Indian textiles & crafts exhibition, since 2015.

'Syūti Shaili' (स्यूति शैली) literally means ‘Weaving Styles’ in Sanskrit, showcasing handcrafted items, be that hand woven, handspun, sewn, embroidered, painted, printed, dyed - anything crafted by a deft pair of hands demonstrating skill, creativity and tradition. The exhibition provides a marketing network and a platform for weavers, craft enterprises, handloom brands, young designers, curators and entrepreneurs.

Wait, we do have pictures of people who came and shopped from us in Mumbai ! Many we also spoke with at length. It was wonderful and exciting, an excitement that also taught us to be grounded and patient. People who shopped need to be applauded because they too have knowingly or unknowingly involved themselves in a creative process, a unique shopping experience where they have used their purchasing power to support brands that align with the ethos of handcrafting. When one choses to buy handcrafted, s/he makes a certain choice of investing and prioritising the handcrafted. We thank each of them for their purchases. We will remember and acknowledge them. It was not just another purchase but an opportunity to communicate and contribute towards the preservation of the handcrafting processes which are still existing across the regions of India and pray may thrive for years with their support.

Glimpses of our first day and we couldn't be more pleased to see people who came and shopped, discussed and interacted with deep love, understanding and sensibility for the handcrafted. This was a 'mature crowd', referring to a demographic of adults seeking an environment with less drama, high-end experiences, enjoyable atmospheres. They are discerning in their choices and prefer, procure authentic handcrafted textiles. You must come and be a part of this wonderful experience this weekend in Kolkata.

Time for Syūti Shaili 's Spring Summer exhibition for 2026. From delicate bright flowers to the return of warm weather, this season is a reminder of the rotational order of nature and transition while also celebrating the normalcy of life. Syuti Shaili, in its twelfth year now, has worked its way through celebrating craft, commerce, creativity and creation and in current times when exhibitions can be seen all around the only driving force for us is telling ourselves, "Don't just be the best, be the most loved".
