Dhaba Style tadka Dal

Ingredients :-
(Serves 3-4 • Tur Pal -12 cup ◦ Chana Dal -'4 cut • Onion (fmnely chopped) - I medium • Tomato (fnely chopped) - 1 medium • Ginger-Garlic Paste 1 tsp • Green Chilies (chopped) - 2 • Ghee - z tbst Turmeric Powder -12 tsp • Red Chili Powder - 1 tst ‣ Garam Masala - 12 tst • Cumin Seeds - Itse ◦ Asafoetida (Hing) - a pinch • Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp (crushed • Salt - to taste Fresh Coriander Leaves = 2 tbsp (chopped • Water -3 cups
Method :-
1, Wash tur dal and chana dal thoroughly. Soak for 20-30 minutes (optional)
z. Pressure cook dals with turmeric, salt, and 3 cups water for 3-4 whistles until soft. Mash lightly.
3. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
4. Add hing and chopped green chilies, Sauté for a few seconds
5. Add chopped onions and cook until golden 6. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté till raw smell disappears
7. Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and cook until soft and oil separates
8. Pour in the cooked dal. Mix well and adjust consistency with water if needed. 9. Add garam masala and crushed ka suri methi. simmer for 5-7 minutes. 10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a drizzle of ghee.
serve hot with rice or roti.
