Our story began at Channel [V]āKaveri, the powerhouse creative producer, and me, the stylist. Back then, I was secretly a tad intimidated by her. It wasn't strictness; it was just that Iād never seen a woman embody that level of fierce ambition and clarity of vision. She backed herself completely, was utterly unapologetic and I deeply admired her for that. Eventually, deadlines turned into late-night chats, and colleagues turned into friends ...friends for lifeā¤ļø.
This month, she took her brilliant film Gudgudi all the way to London for the UK Asian Film Festival.
As if watching her film win the Best Long Short award wasn't incredible enough, she chose to walk the festival's red carpet in a custom NicibyNici saree. Honestly? A total career high for me!
