রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) বলেছেন, "আল্লাহ তাআলা আসমান ও জমিন সৃষ্টির পঞ্চাশ হাজার বছর আগে সমস্ত সৃষ্টির ভাগ্য নির্ধারণ বা লিখে রেখেছেন, তখন তাঁর আরশ ছিল পানির ওপর।" (সহীহ মুসলিম, হাদিস নং ২৬৫৩)
