We all know sleep matters — but do we truly understand how profoundly it shapes a child's health, mood, growth, and learning? This week's UnCamp talk dives deep into the science and practice of children's sleep, with one of Bangalore's most experienced pediatric sleep specialists.

Dr. Sindhuja Harsha Vardhan is a Pediatric Pulmonary, Allergy and Sleep Physician with over 17 years of clinical experience in the United States. She holds an MBBS from India, completed her Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship in the US, and carries a Diploma in Pediatric Sleep Medicine along with dual board certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics. Now based in Bangalore and practicing at Aloha Kids Clinic, Cloudnine (Jayanagar), and Dhee Hospitals, she brings world-class expertise right to our community.

As a mother of two herself, Dr. Sindhuja brings a rare blend of rigorous, evidence-based medicine and warm, practical wisdom that parents can actually use. Whether you're navigating bedtime battles, worried about snoring, or simply curious about what healthy sleep looks like at different ages — this is a conversation you won't want to miss.

Come with your questions. Leave with better nights.

Heads up, parents! 📢 If you’ve been looking for a way to keep the kids active this summer without the stress of travel, UnCamp 2026 is trending for a reason.

It’s a 14 to 21-day guided journey where kids build, solve, and explore. Plus, there’s a daily "family activity" to help us bond instead of just co-existing behind screens.

Who else is trying to cut down on YouTube time this year? 👇

4 players. One board. Endless strategy. 🔥

This is Chowkabara, one of the most engaging traditional Indian board games played with cowrie shells — where every move can change the game.

Watch closely… the shells are thrown, the pawns move, and just when you think you’re winning… your piece gets cut and sent back home!

That’s the beauty of Chowkabara (also known as Chowka Bara) — a perfect mix of strategy, luck, and family bonding that today’s kids are missing.

If you’re looking for screen-free activities for kids, traditional Indian games for family time, and strategy board games for children, this is the game you should bring home.

Don’t let these timeless games fade away.
Bring back the joy of playing together ❤️

No dice… no luck…
Yet they couldn’t take their eyes off the game. 👀

Every move was planned.
Every step was strategy. 🧠

This is Aadu Puli Aatam 🐯🐐 — a timeless Indian game where kids don’t just play… they think, observe, and outsmart.

In a world full of screens, this is the kind of play that truly matters. ❤️

If your child hasn’t played this yet…
you’re missing out on a beautiful kind of joy and learning.

✨ Bring back real play.
✨ Build sharper minds.
✨ Create unforgettable family moments.

This Women’s Day, let’s look at the boards where history was written.

Long before apps and modern consoles, the women of India were using board games to change the course of history. From secret war rooms to village survival, swipe left to see how 'play' became a tool for power.

Which of these stories surprised you the most? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Behind the Stories
The history of Indian games is full of hidden layers. Here is where these stories come from:

Rani Laxmibai: Historical records of the Zenana (women’s quarters) show that the Queen used games like Chaupar to host secret meetings away from British surveillance.

The "Human Dice": The giant Pachisi court is still visible today at Fatehpur Sikri. Memoirs like the Akbarnama describe these elaborate games played with court members as pieces.

Pallanguzhi: Anthropologists studying rural Tamil Nadu have long documented how this game served as a "mathematical lab" for women to calculate communal seed and grain distribution.

Rani Jindan Kaur: Historical accounts of her exile and imprisonment at Chunar Fort mention her reliance on traditional games and her sharp intellect, which eventually led to her escaping to Nepal disguised as a servant.

When families come together, traditions come alive ❤️
From Chowkabara to Aadu Huli, from Aligulimane to Navakankari —

Laughter replaced screens.
Strategy replaced scrolling.
Connection replaced competition.
All these eventually leads to one unforgettable bonding moment.

On March 1st, we had the wonderful opportunity to conduct our traditional Indian board games session for the Chanakya Group Family Day. The response was absolutely amazing! 🎲 Thanks to organising team ❤️

From classroom theory to timeless tradition 🎲✨

We recently hosted an immersive workshop on Ancient Indian Board Games for the amazing students of FLAME University — diving deep into authentic rules, traditional play methods, historical insights, and the wisdom hidden inside every move.

What happened next?
Pure energy. Total engagement. Laughter. Strategy. Curiosity.

One student beautifully said:
"Every quantitative and qualitative aspect of learning applies to these games."

And that says it all.
These aren’t just games.
They are mathematics, psychology, ethics, decision-making, probability, patience, and culture — all rolled into one powerful learning experience.

We are so grateful for such thoughtful feedback and even more excited to see future educators rediscover India’s timeless gaming heritage.

Because when future teachers experience this magic, future classrooms transform. 🇮🇳✨

We received the most heartwarming review from a North Indian grandmother 💛 who currently lives in Netherlands.

She was searching for ways to connect with her grandchildren. She tried food, stories, cuddles and many other things… but still felt a growing gap. Even grandpa was feeling bored sometimes.

Then they started playing traditional games regularly. Slowly, the children became curious. They joined in. They learned quickly. Soon, they were enjoying the games and happily playing with grandpa too.

Over a simple game of Chowka Bara and Tiger & Goat, the ice slowly melted. Conversations began. Laughter returned. Bonding grew stronger between all three grandchildren and their grandparents.

She thanked us for these beautiful game sets… and we are truly happy and grateful to receive such meaningful feedback.

Sometimes, all it takes is one simple game to bring hearts closer. 💛
