Many Indians still ask us ‘If it’s made in India, why is it so expensive?’
That one question says everything about how the world has conditioned us to see ourselves.
For centuries, Indian hands have built the foundations of global luxury.
Our weavers, dyers, tailors, and artisans have shaped the very aesthetic the world now calls ‘premium.’
Yet when we create for our own people, it’s dismissed as ‘overpriced.’
This post isn’t for those who still doubt us.
It’s for everyone who knows the value of Indian craftsmanship, who understands that heritage isn’t cheap it’s precious.
It’s time we rewrite the narrative.
It’s time we honour our own makers, respect our own legacy, and give Indian craftsmanship the spotlight it has always deserved.
