Red Eri Silk (Ryndia Shynreh in Khasi) is one of the rarest variants of Eri silk, prized for its naturally occurring brownish-red to brick-red hue.
Unlike the more commonly seen off-white Eri silk, Red Eri yarn has a distinctive rustic, matte appearance that gives the fabric its earthy character. With every wash and wear, the yarn becomes softer, more supple, and increasingly comfortable while retaining its natural beauty.

Red Eri silk is traditionally produced and processed across Meghalaya and Assam, where Eri silk has long been woven as part of the region’s indigenous textile traditions. The yarn undergoes careful processing before being spun and woven, preserving its characteristic texture, warmth, and natural appeal.
