🎉 We were honored to welcome the High Commissioner of Australia to Studio Kilab for a short visit! 🇦🇺🙌

During his visit, the High Commissioner along with Jack Taylor(Second secretary Political) and Vandana Seth (Senior Research Officer) had the chance to explore Kani Home and Studio Kilab and see our team at work.
We had a great discussion about the importance of fostering creative industries and supporting emerging designers, both in Kashmir and around the world.
We're grateful for the opportunity to have hosted such an esteemed guest and to share our passion for design with him. Thank you, High Commissioner, for your visit and for your support of the arts! 🙏

Are you a professional storyteller, journalist, filmmaker, or content creator with a passion for sharing inspiring and informative stories? Meltingpots is seeking talented individuals like you to join our series, Humans of Kashmir, where we aim to profile the incredible work and experiences of people from a variety of fields and backgrounds.

As a member of our storytelling community, you'll have the opportunity to share your unique perspective and lessons learned with a global audience, and be a part of a community of like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact.

We are particularly interested in featuring the diverse and dynamic stories of professionals from the beautiful region of Kashmir, and showcasing the many ways in which they are making a difference in their communities and beyond.

If you are interested in joining our team and sharing your story, we invite you to attend a Google Meet on January 11th, 2023 from 11 AM to 11 PM. You are welcome to join the meeting at any time that is convenient for you, and for those in the area, we also welcome in-person participation at the Kani Home creative residency.

Studio Kilab is in search for interns and volunteers who would like to work with our vision to innovate the Kashmiri craft sector.

We Provide:
- Accommodation and Food at our creative residence at Studio Kilab
- Heated Design Studio to work in
- Workshop with basic tools and machinery
- Guidance in design related projects
- Exposure to the craft sector in Kashmir.

Applicants from other creative fields are more than welcome to apply.
