Three clues. One legendary ruler.
A name that Tamil soil has remembered for centuries. 🔥

🌿 His generosity became greater than his kingdom.

🏞️ He ruled a flourishing hill country, yet wealth and power were never what made him immortal.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 When **300 families sought land**, he gave away parts of his own territory because to him, a kingdom existed for its people.

While travelling in his royal chariot, he saw a delicate **climbing plant struggling without support.

THE DREAM THEY FOUGHT FOR… IS THE FREEDOM WE LIVE TODAY. 🇮🇳

From the sacred soil of Tamil Nadu rose warriors who refused to bow.

Velu Nachiyar - remembered as one of India’s earliest queens to wage armed resistance against British colonial rule fought not merely for a throne, but for the freedom of her land.

Beside her stood Kuyili, whose courage became sacrifice itself. A fearless commander remembered for giving her life in an audacious attack against the enemy’s ammunition store.

And then came the Marudhu Brothers , Periya Marudhu and Chinna Marudhu who stood against British rule, called people to resist, and ultimately gave their lives for that cause.

They fought without knowing whether they would ever see the India they dreamed of.

They never saw our flag rise over a free nation.
They never heard generations celebrate Independence Day.
They never knew the names of the millions who would one day walk freely on this soil.

But we are living inside their dream.

Today, when the Tricolour rises above Tamil soil, let us remember that beneath our celebrations lies the courage, blood and sacrifice of those who came before us.
