I love being creative, sewing, drawing, painting, baking and cooking! If you would like anything special or bespoke, please send me a message, I would be happy to help. Having lived in a small house close to the River Thames with my husband-to-be and our ginger cat Floyd, enjoying cooking and tending to the garden, I decided on a whim to try my hand at sewing. Throwing myself in at the deep end, I

bought a sewing machine, taught myself embroidery, made my first soft animal toy (a bunny) and before I knew it The Fox In The Attic was up and running! A world of possibilities swiftly opened itself up to me, and my ever-growing range of hand-made items began to include cats, foxes, dogs, pin-cushions, napkins, owls and even clouds! I take inspiration from a huge range of people, places and things: from travel (Sicily, Paris, Amsterdam, Cornwall) to Art (Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, Beatrix Potter) to world history (medieval tapestries/illustrated manuscripts), and the Arts & Crafts movements spear-headed by William Morris. My more esoteric tastes include obscure Victorian botanical illustrations, old postcards, visiting museums and stately homes, antique jewellery (often found in flea-markets around the world) - and I'm also a total sucker for period-films (anything by Jane Austen and I'm there!). Hello everyone. Hopefully you’re here because you were looking for my Instagram page and have finally found me here!

A month ago, my Instagram account was disabled and will now be deleted. No reason was given and no explanation provided. I created my original account in 2011, and it followed my journey from starting with handmade toys and napkins, through creating baby muslins, having my own babies, and eventually moving into wedding stationery.
