Eucalipto + Viola Gradient Duo 💚💜 is in the shop!
What will you knit with them? These teeny tiny Gradient bundles are such a pleasure to make, and inspire me all kind of colorwork knits! 😌

It might be April Fools, but why can’t I dye some Winter colourways, while calendar says Spring, and weather tells another whole story? 🙃
Winter Blues & Winter Mist are two new mini skein sets, and are in the shop, also as a bundle with all of them in teeny tiny 10 grams micro skeins. Mini skein sets are a great stash addiction, to add to scrap blankets, to add contrast heel and toe to your socks, to add a nice color accent for your not ordinary one color stripes, or just to have another beautiful pair of stripey socks 🧦
Find these and more in the shop 🤗

Dusty Palette on the softest Baby Alpaca + Merino DK, and some pattern inspo ✨

Do you like some subtle dusty hues? Those almost neutrals yet still colored ones, the colors that stay, that survive fashion trends, that never get old nor bore, that you’ll always come back to. I do absolutely love them, especially if paired with simple and timeless knits.

Some of my favourites: (scroll for pics)

• Zafferano Sweater, my very first design, I still love it!
• a second, oversized and sleeveless version of Zafferano sweater
• Douglas cardi by 1 or 2 skeins per color in all those five colors, and you’ll end up with a dreamy cardigan!
• Mushroom cowl by what’s not to love in simple textures and subtle colors?
• an oldie but oh so goodie, Duotone cowl by
• talking about oldie and free patterns, Rikke Hat, I know the trend now is for ribbed hats, but I do love me some squishy garter stitch (I should be knitting a new one for the man, since he lost my old one 🙈)

Alpine blooms have bloomed 🌸🌼😍 If a finished yoke doesn’t qualify as a finished sweater, it surely is as much satisfying! The stitch pattern paired with these colors makes me dream of a basket filled with pansies! 💜💛 I’m using my Gradient sets in the colorways Viola and Senape, and I’ll be fading the gradient back to dark for the rest of the body, can’t wait to show you more, and I’ll put together some yarn kits soon! 😌

I keep picking up all my projects on and off for no specific reason, maybe just taking things very slowly (quite usual for me 😅) but I’m hoping to turn this into a beautiful finished project, so that I’ll feel less guilty casting on for a new one 😁

How do you choose color placement for multicolored projects? I love to use many colors, but I can’t always easily envision a finished project in them. And I find hard to start a project if I’m not sure it’ll work as I want (hello perfectionism 👋🏼). I’ve learnt that some quick colored sketches helps me envision my finished project, and give me confidence it will be as I want it. I know I can always unravel and re knit, but it takes time, and I prefer spending this time playing with colors, rather than unraveling 🙈

For my mismatched second sock I decided to start from the color used in the middle of first sock. This Wisteria fade is designed so that all the colors connect seamlessly, whichever color you start with, and I love it! I’m dreaming at all the color combinations to dye more fades like that! Any color combination you’d like to see?

Beating second sock and UFOs syndromes with some matchy mismatched socks, my absolute favourites!
The best thing about knitting your own garments is that you can just make them as unique you like! ❤️
I’m using my Wisteria mini fade, one set of the smallest 10gr skeins is enough for socks, but I’ve started mine with the 20gr skeins, so I’m motivating myself to finish them because I know already what to knit with the rest of the yarn, and I can’t wait to dig in this next project 🙊

Do you have other hobbies or passions, other than yarn and knitting? I have way too many, but most of them gravitate around color. As I like to say, yarn dyeing taught me to see the world in colors, and it’s just like riding a bike, once you learn to read the array of hues and shades light can create, you just can’t unlearn it. And from knitting, to photography, to gardening, to dyeing and coloring, of course, in the end to me it’s all about color, pairing colors, capturing colors, planting and growing colors, and recreating colors, whether it’s on yarn or on paper.

This is Be My Valentine, a mini skeins set inspired by the colors of English Roses, and this is a page from by that I colored with the same color palette I dyed on yarn, or at least the closest colors I could find in my pencils. I enjoyed it 😊

Be my Valentine is in the shop, a new mini skeins set to celebrate Love, in all its forms. This little set is inspired, and want to celebrate, one of my latest Love crush in the garden, English Roses 💐

They’re so beautiful in their simplicity, the colors are light and gentle, you can hardly find a red, and no dark ones, no speckles, no variegation, and they all smell deliciously, I mean, what’s not to love? They make me feel like Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden 🌷

I dyed them on a few bases, other than classic Sock, and had some fun ice-dyeing some matching small drawsting bags, which are great to hold an extra small project in your larger project bags.

I wanted to create two different interpretations of the same theme for my last Advent Calendar, inspired by Winter Solstice.
While this Fade versions share the exact same colorway recipes of the Mini skeins set, instead of dyeing them as semisolids/tonals, I dyed them as gently variegated colorways, with each skein dyed in different tones of the same hues.
This created subtle colors shifts and gentle transitions, that formed a beautiful fade.
This set is less dark and moody than the Mini set, still colors are gentle and beautiful. I can’t wait to dye more combinations of this fade in the future.

Sunset River is the second scarf/wrap piece I designed for this fade. This very long and thin scarf was knitted with the smaller set, but there is an option for a larger and shorter wrap with that same small set, and an option for the large folull length wrap to be worked with the larger fade set.

Winter Solstice fades are in pre-order in the shop, and Sunset River is on Ravelry.
