Most people don't realize this beloved carol isn't just a nice Christmas tune, it's Scripture set to melody.
When Charles Wesley wrote "Glory to the new born King," he was echoing the exact words of the angels themselves: "Suddenly a great company of the heavenly hosts appeared with the angel, praising God saying, " Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13-14
The Greek word for Glory here is doxa, meaning weight, splendor, the visible manifestation of God's greatness. This wasn't a quiet whisper. ✨How do we as Christians really celebrate the festive season ?..✨
It's clear how society has tried to take over the true meaning of this holy time. Secular culture has tried to crowd out the gospel by elevating myths—santa on a sleigh, flying reindeer , elves, and endless consumerism. Yet none of those things are real, but we know for a fact Jesus is real and He was born. Though we do not have an accurate date we celebrate the fact that He was born.
While the world chases a myth, we chase a historical, life-altering truth that starts with a single word: Noel.
When we think of "Noel," we usually think of a catchy Christmas carol. But the root of this word carries a beautiful spiritual reality that we can walk in every single day. "Noel" originates from the Latin word natalis, which literally means "birth" or "to be born." Angels announced a paradigm shift for humanity not a fairytale to make children feel good. In Luke 2:10-11, the angel says, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."The birth of Jesus brought the birth of hope, redemption, and our own new identity in Him. Our Noel design is a visual reminder of that shift. Noel is a firm declaration against the secular noise. It’s more than just seasonal apparel; it’s ministry on the move.
