In occasione di VIOFF Golden Road, 75°06’S 🇦🇶 apre le porte a un racconto diverso: più crudo, essenziale, lontano dalle rotte più battute

GOLDEN TRACKS - La transumanza estrema nella steppa mongola.

Una selezione di scatti del fotografo Massimo Bietti 🍕🍝🎻🇮🇹, realizzati durante la sua spedizione invernale tra i pastori nomadi dei monti Altai.

Centinaia di chilometri attraverso territori ostili, dove il vero valore si riconosce in ciò che sa resistere: materiali, conoscenza del territorio, capacità di adattamento e movimento, in equilibrio con la natura più estrema.

Equipment for extreme conditions.

In the Mongolian Altai, conditions leave no room for error. Across frozen lakes, open plateaus and remote shelters, the Cooperation Suit accompanied the journey through temperatures between -15°C and -20°C, with peaks of -30°C.

Built for protection. Designed to keep moving.

Living in the Extreme.

A visual record from Antarctica, captured by photographer Emil Schulthess. The image documents one of the most essential challenges of life in extreme environments: obtaining drinking water where the landscape is made of ice, but access to usable water is never simple.

A reminder that survival often depends on the most basic resources, and on the intelligence required to manage them.

A story carried into a tee.

The Henry Worsley Tee brings an Antarctic archive image into everyday wear. Made from 100% cotton, with a relaxed silhouette and a soft, lightweight feel, it carries the portrait shot by Sebastian Copeland at the Geographic South Pole.

An homage to exploration, endurance and those who keep moving beyond what seems possible.

A portrait from the ice.

Shot by polar explorer and photographer Sebastian Copeland at the Geographic South Pole, this image captures Henry Worsley during a chance encounter on the Antarctic ice.

Snow goggles, balaclava, a face shaped by days in extreme conditions.

At Worsley’s request, the portrait was treated as if it came from an early twentieth-century camera, following the legacy of his hero, Ernest Shackleton.

People of the Mongolian Altai.

Beyond the landscape, the journey was shaped by encounters. Families, herders, eagle hunters, shamans. Different lives, bound by the same relationship with land, animals, and climate.

Here, culture is not separate from survival. It is part of it.

The Cooperation Suit moved through these moments as field equipment, built for exposure, distance, and real conditions.
