The orchid sukajan jacket is cut from a silk Tsumugi kimono in a classic bomber silhouette.

Highly prized and of humble origins, Tsumugi fabric is a silk woven from floss remaining in the silkworm cocoon after the full threads have been removed.

Pink, hand-painted silk yuzen Kimono recounstructed into a Kaftan dress.

Kaftans are worn by both men and women in variations and are seen as a form of gender neutral expression. At the turn of the 20th century, they were considered avant-garde, innovative and a far cry from the form-fitting, corseted styles that had long dominated Western fashion.
