I spend way too much time on my phone scrolling, and my goal this summer is to spend less time looking at my screen and more time in the real world. My kids are done with school this week, so the summer begins very soon for us!
Summer reading is something I’ve done since I was a kid, and I still love to do it! I have a few books queued up on my shelf. I’d love any book recs you might have that are perfect summer reads!
I’m working on a sample Chaos Cabin quilt, finishing up my rainbow improv quilt from last year, and I have fabric for a new improv quilt that I want to hang in our dining room.
I inherited a very lovely garden when we bought our home. I started some seeds at the end of winter that are somehow still alive, a few seedlings are sprouting, and I have more seeds to plant in the coming weeks. I bought a few tomato plants and will see how those turn out. I feel so much joy watching everything grow and thrive.
I love sewing, but haven’t made much time lately to make anything new. I desperately need some nicer tops, so I plan to make a few tops and a jumper.
I’ve been slowly working on knitting a Friday Tee, and am making steady progress. I might start a pair of socks later in the summer for fall.
