We a Rockers!

1978年に公開された映画“Rockers”のテーマロゴを刺繍したいという気持ちから制作を始めました。
ジャマイカンミュージックが好きなわたしの第一作目です。
I started making this because I wanted to embroider the theme logo of the movie "Rockers" that was released in 1978.
This is my first work as Jamaican music lover.

従来の服や布の表面からステッチを掛ける刺繍とは違い、刺繍は全て服の内側からステッチを掛けて仕上げています。
Unlike traditional embroidery, where stitches are applied from the surface of clothing or fabric, all of our embroidery is finished by stitching from the inside of the garment.

完成したモチーフは立体感があるのでパッチワークと誤解されますがそれもこの刺繍技法のユニークな点です。
The finished motif has a three-dimensional feel that could be mistaken for patchwork, but this is also a unique feature of this embroidery technique.

完成〜✨

今回はロックマウントのヴィンテージのウェスタンシャツをベースにReggaeのVivesを表現しました。

シャツのサイズはUS ミディアム(使用しているボディは日本のLサイズ)

近日、Etsy shopにUpしますのでご興味のある方はお気軽にDMください。

This time, I expressed the vibes of reggae using a vintage western shirt from Rockmount as a base.

The shirt size is US medium (the body used is a Japanese Large size)
