The rain exposes what we choose to ignore.

A plastic bag thrown carelessly can clog a drain.

But when systems fail, projects are compromised, or accountability is missing, the consequences can clog an entire community.

As flooding once again puts flood-control projects in the spotlight, this old message on our bag feels painfully timely.

Maybe the solution isn't just about controlling floods. Maybe it's also about controlling what we allow to happen.

After days of heavy rain, we see them again - plastic bags, bottles, wrappers, straws, and all kinds of trash piling up in our rivers and in our drainage.

Where did all of this come from?

It didn’t magically appear in the river.

Each one was once someone’s “small” piece of trash. Until thousands of those small choices become a river full of waste.

We can demand better systems from our government, and we really should! But we also have to ask ourselves what part we play.

Think outside the trash. And maybe, this time, think about where it ends up.

Make your market bag grab-ready.

Hang it by the door or anywhere you can see it, and make it the first thing you reach for when you head out for errands.

Because the best reusable bag is the one you remember to bring.

Grab it. Reuse it. Repeat.

PLASTIC-PRODUCING COMPANIES NOW ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR OWN WASTE

| Companies that produce plastic products are now legally responsible for managing their own plastic waste under the Extended Producer Responsibility law, with 80% of company-produced plastic required to be diverted from waste by 2028, DENR Undersecretary Jonas Leones said Saturday.

Leones told DZRH News program "Special on Saturday" that the law ends decades of placing the entire solid waste burden on local governments and signals a new era of corporate accountability for environmental impact.

One straw.
One plastic bag.
One small piece of trash.

“Small” when we throw it away.
But when the rain comes, it all finds its way back to us.

Nothing we throw away ever truly disappears.

This is not the ocean. This is garbage.

A reclaimed area visible from the LRT-1 Redemptorist-Aseana Station in Parañaque turned into what looked like a sea of trash after days of heavy rain.

It is heartbreaking to see. But even more heartbreaking is knowing that much of this came from us.

One plastic wrapper thrown on the street. One bottle left behind. One plastic bag we thought was “just one piece of trash.”

But when millions of people think the same way, this is what happens.

We often blame the floods, the drainage system, and the government.

If we do not want to live surrounded by our own garbage, then change must also begin with us.

Nature simply returns what humans carelessly throw away.

The rain did not create this garbage. We did.

Storms have a way of reminding us what really matters.

The weather may be beyond our control, but the choices we make every day are not.

Choosing to reuse.
Choosing to reduce plastic.
Choosing products that give materials a second life.

They may seem like small acts, but lasting change has always started with small, consistent choices.

As the rain continues, we're hoping everyone stays safe, dry, and looks out for one another. 💚

There are moments in business that never get old. Like receiving a random message from a customer saying,

"Nakarating ng Hong Kong ang bag mo" 🥹✈️

Our OG 6 Inside Pocket has traveled before. It's explored cities, crossed countries, and joined countless adventures. But every single time someone sends us a photo like this...
..the kilig still feels like the very first.

Because we don't just see a bag.

We see a small dream that started at home, now riding trains, walking unfamiliar streets, and quietly reminding people that choosing reusables can take you anywhere.

Imagine that.

A bag designed and made locally, carrying everyday essentials while carrying a much bigger message:

ANTI PLASTIC.

Every photo you send becomes part of our story. It reminds us that what we create isn't just something to use. It's something that travels, starts conversations, and represents a community choosing better for our planet.

To everyone who has taken an X&X bag around the world...THANK YOU!

Where has your X&X bag traveled? We'd love to see! Tag us or send us your travel photos—we're always excited to feature your journey.
