WANSIE draws inspiration from Swallow’s Tail, the final painting by Salvador Dalí, and the Catastrophe Theory by mathematician René Thom. The theory explains how gradual, continuous changes can suddenly lead to a dramatic shift. Dalí visualized this concept in his artwork—and we’ve incorporated that same idea into our design process.

The Arts and Crafts Movement was not about ornament,

WANSIE Spring Summer 2026
draws inspiration from Swallow’s Tail, Salvador Dalí’s final painting, and René Thom’s Catastrophe Theory—which explains how gradual changes can trigger sudden transformation. Dalí visualized this concept in his art, and we’ve adopted the same idea in our design process.
This collection explores unexpected evolution through classic workwear. We’ve refined staple pieces with premium fabrics, relaxed urban silhouettes, and subtle design shifts that suggest slow, deliberate change. Small details and surprising elements bring new energy and movement to everyday essentials.
In Japanese culture, the swallow symbolizes happiness and the coming of spring. Its light, fluid motion mirrors the ease and natural flow of this collection. Guided by Dalí’s final vision, Thom’s theory, and the cultural symbolism of the swallow, WANSIE presents a modern, elevated take on traditional workwear—tailored for contemporary city life.
