A journey tracing the town of Nakiri, spread across the hills of Daiozaki at the southern edge of Shima, a land once known as “Saki-gun.”
In the early Showa era, writers and painters were drawn here, finding inspiration in its landscape and capturing it in their work.
Even today, this small peninsula holds a vivid palette all its own. Its colors, its streets, and the lingering sense of another time continue to draw people in.
Photographer Olivier Kervern had long felt a connection to this place, a town that had stayed in his imagination for years. Through his lens, he captures its nostalgia and the quiet warmth that lives within the landscape.
From a chance encounter, another side of 45R unfolds.
