At Hope Designers, many of our women are widows, single mothers, or caregivers raising not only their own children but also orphaned relatives. They work tirelessly, often without recognition, to provide food, education, love, discipline, and guidance—the full package of parenthood.

They stitch, they save, they lead, they teach.
They wipe away tears, carry heavy burdens, and still smile through it all.
They are providers. They are protectors. They are fathers too.

On this Father’s Day, we celebrate these phenomenal women—the silent heroes—who step up when others step out. Your strength powers our mission. Your love holds families together. Your courage inspires generations.

At our Hope Designers Project in Manyatta Slums, Kisumu, we are not only equipping HIV-affected women with essential tailoring skills but also fostering a future of empowerment for their children.

Today, six incredible women joined our sewing classes, and one of them brought her child along! It’s always so much fun to see the children’s curiosity – they love to watch what’s happening and are eager to try out the sewing machines and even help cut fabrics! ✂️🧵 Their excitement and interest are a reminder that we are shaping a brighter future, not just for these women, but for the next generation too. 💖

We are so proud of the women’s progress, and it’s heartwarming to see the children inspired by their mothers' determination to build a better future. Together, we’re not only teaching skills – we’re building legacies! 🌱✨

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. You are making a real difference in the lives of these women and their families! 💪

Honoring the Resilience and Sacrifices of Women on International Women's Day

Women make countless sacrifices to ensure their families thrive, often doing so despite facing significant challenges. Many were denied equal access to education and continue to fight against barriers to secure even basic employment. The situation is even more difficult for women living with HIV, who face the added burden of discrimination that limits their opportunities for survival.

As an organization, we are committed to empowering these women by providing them with the skills and tools they need to succeed in entrepreneurship and become financially independent. Throughout this journey, we have witnessed their incredible resilience and unwavering commitment to achieving their financial goals.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate these women who inspire us with their strength and determination. We are proud of their achievements and stand beside them as they continue to break barriers and build better futures.

At the Hope Designers Project, we are passionate about empowering women affected by HIV to achieve financial independence and success in the fashion industry. 💪👗

This week, we continued our transformative journey at Manyatta, where 10 women came together for our tailoring and business skills classes. One lady even brought her child, showing the incredible strength and determination of these women as they balance family life while pursuing their dreams.

We are incredibly proud of the progress we're making together, equipping these women with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fashion business. Every step brings us closer to a brighter, more independent future for these amazing women. 🌸
