We are so excited to get moving again, to explore new places, discover beautiful spaces, meet makers, wander markets, and source the kind of pieces that make House of Saffron feel collected, travelled, and full of story.

This upcoming trip to Morocco will form part of a new collection coming later this year - think texture, craft, colour, old-world charm, and one-of-a-kind finds for the home and wardrobe.

Just block prints, beads, jackets, clutches, sourcing plans, packing lists, catalogues, stockist chats, and a small obsession with finding beautiful pieces for the home and wardrobe.

Too many beautiful things, too little time.

A little moment of marble magic from Jaipur.

At first glance, it’s a beautiful carved flower panel - white marble, black inlay, delicate borders, palace symmetry. But look a little closer and Jaipur begins to reveal what it does so well: detail within detail, craft within craft, stories hidden in stone.

This style is often seen in Rajasthan’s royal architecture - a meeting of Rajput palace decoration and Mughal marble work, where white marble is carved into soft botanical reliefs and framed with bold black stone inlay. The floral border is precise and graphic, while the centre feels almost alive: flowers, stems and leaves rising gently out of the stone.

In places like Amer Fort, these carvings often carry hidden symbols. A single flower might reveal different forms when viewed carefully.

🌸The elephant speaks of royalty, wisdom and good fortune - an auspicious symbol throughout Rajasthan.

🌸 The lion suggests strength, courage and kingship.

🌸The cobra carries protection, power and sacred energy.

🌸The fish is linked to abundance, water and movement.

🌸The lotus represents purity, beauty and spiritual growth.

🌸The scorpion brings in the desert — mystery, danger and protection.

🌸The corn cob speaks of fertility, harvest and prosperity.

Jaipur has a way of making beauty feel layered, old-world and quietly grand. The kind of detail you only notice when you slow down.

And that, really, is what inspires us at House of Saffron — pieces and places with soul, story and craft.
