Fashion has long been built around exclusivity, curated around a narrow set of bodies deemed acceptable enough to dress.
At Sha house Ngara, Ngara Spaces , that idea was quietly dismantled. Models walked the runway on crutches, in wheelchairs, with prosthetics and white canes, styled not around their circumstances but through them, in embroidered robes, structured blazers, denim shorts and beaded accents that spoke the same design language as any other look on the floor.
This is adaptive fashion, a term we were introduced to by stylist Kaveke . It is not a trend or a gesture of charity. It is a rethinking of limitation itself, a reminder that clothing should accommodate the realities of the people wearing it without ever allowing those realities to define who they are.

Maisha by sharon jerop landed at Sarit Expo Centre as a love letter to everything a wedding day doesn't show you.
An extension of the collection she first unveiled at Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week, Maisha rejects the idea that a wedding is simply white. Jerop built this collection around a deliberate spectrum of color, each shade carrying a season of the relationships that got us there. Joy. Disappointment. Sacrifice. The quiet decision to choose someone again and again.
"The altar is simply the culmination of everything that comes before it," she says. It's a journey, she adds, much like a jungle. Only those willing to work through it together emerge on the other side.
The collection also leans into our traditions, the customs woven into how we understand commitment and family, presented honestly rather than glossed over.
