Have you ever noticed how two adults can feel the same anger… but one goes silent and breathes, while the other explodes like a sufuria left too long on the jiko? 😅
Same emotion. Completely different reactions.

I used to think watoto just cry “for vibes.” Until I had my own active little human.
By 10am I’ve already said: “Wacha!” “Kuja hapa!” “What are you doing?!” at least 47 times.
By noon… I’m negotiating with God. 😂

But here’s the thing I learned (and research backs this up): infants—especially under 1 year—do NOT have the brain capacity to manipulate you. Their emotional regulation system (the prefrontal cortex) is still developing. So when a 9-month-old cries, it’s not drama. It’s communication.

So that idea of, “K**a ni kulia unataka, I’ll give you a reason to cry!” …it doesn’t build discipline.
It quietly teaches something else: that when emotions are big, people will either hurt you or ignore you. And that lesson doesn’t disappear—it grows up.

Instead of reacting, I’ve been trying (emphasis on trying 😅) to pause and remind myself that my child’s cry is not an attack. Then I ask, “What could this mean?” Hungry? Tired? Overstimulated? Uncomfortable? And instead of punishment, I respond. Because comfort doesn’t spoil babies—it wires their brain for safety. And in those tiny moments, I’m modeling how to handle big feelings.

Children raised with emotional safety don’t become weak. They become calm under pressure, less aggressive, and more empathetic. And those who grow up in harsh emotional environments often learn the opposite—either to explode 💥 or to completely shut down 🧊.

So next time you see an adult handling anger beautifully… just know, someone once handled their tiny emotions with care. 🤍

Let’s raise children who don’t have to unlearn pain to become peaceful.
Tell me in the comments—how do you handle your baby’s crying moments? Or what did you grow up experiencing?

I wake up at 7:00am… not because I want to, but because my tiny personal trainer has decided the day must begin 😭😂

From that moment, my playlist starts:
“Wacha!”
“Kuja hapa!”
“Unafanya nini?!”
“Ona sasa!”
“Pole…”
“Ntakuchapa!” 😫🤣

By 12 noon, my battery is on 2% and this child is somehow on 200% like he secretly charged overnight with solar power ☀️😂

Some days there’s help, and I thank God.
Some days… it’s just me, my toddler, and my last nerve fighting for survival 😭

By 5pm, sleep is calling me by my government name, but no—I must keep going until sir finally sleeps around 9pm.

Even taking a proper shower feels like applying for a visa.
Luxury. Rare. Almost impossible 😭

And some days, I break down quietly…
because it feels like I’ve been in the gym all day carrying emotions, toys, snacks, and a whole tiny human.

My cup gets empty.
And when your cup is empty, even love feels heavy.

But somehow, tomorrow at 7:00am, I’ll wake up again…
because motherhood is exhausting, beautiful, chaotic love.

To every tired mama running on prayers and cold tea—I see you ❤️

Nani K**a Mama Eeii🥲
Some nights, after the toddler finally sleeps, she lies down like she just survived a marathon… barefoot, carrying snacks, toys, and everyone’s emotions 😅

From sunrise to bedtime, it’s been nonstop—spilled porridge, missing socks, the wrong cup, snack negotiations, and hearing “Mummy!” at least 437 times.

Her tea went cold. Again.
The laundry is still judging her.
And somehow, the tiny boss still has energy at 9PM.

Now the house is finally quiet.

She takes one deep breath… maybe two.

Because in just a few hours, little feet will come running, little hands will reach for her, and the whole adventure starts again.

And she’ll rise—tired, loving, and slightly dramatic—because that’s motherhood.

Beautiful, exhausting, and powered mostly by love… and leftover tea ☕❤️

Mums please help me 😭👇

Which soap did your baby’s skin finally agree with?
Because these little humans will humble you 😅

One day it’s working… next day—rash, dryness, drama 😩

At this point, I feel like my baby is the one choosing the products, not me 🤭
