OUR STORY in tailoring started
90 years ago
🌹1936 The Start…
🌹Fouad Michael Rahmé (born 1917) FR founded his first custom made tailor shop in Beirut – Lebanon.
Place des Canons- down town Beirut… behind the famous OPERA building is located…
🌹At the age of 19, and before WWII he was very much looked upon for the modern design for men’s clothing at that time.
( Lebanese were already adopting European clothing specially after Lebanon became under the French mandate)
🌹Success started first with the Lebanese society of sportsmen, politicians, journalists, actors and businessmen.
🌹FR was selected to design and dress the first Lebanese Olympic delegation’s uniform in 1948.
It was a very favorable era for his success with the rise of the contemporary lounge suit and the emergence of the clean, sharp aesthetic look for the modern Lebanese men of that time.
🌹1951 HRH Prince Mich’al bin Abdelaziz, while on a visit to Lebanon, staying at the elegant St.Georges Hotel, ordered some custom made suits... and invited FR to visit Riyadh... FR accepted the invitation and flew with Prince Mich’al to Riyadh in 1951... where he met very briefly King Abdelaziz, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia...
FR visit lasted only one week and since then the name of Fouad Rahme became circulating whenever you talk men’s clothing in Lebanon and among some of the Royal Saudi Princes…

🌹2nd Branch was established at:
Bechara-el-Khoury Avenue
Cinema Roxy building
Beirut - Lebanon
This was the place for high end custom made suits. Famous clients, President Camille Chamoun, King Saud Bin Abdelaziz, Omar Al-charif and many other personality became accustomed to order their on measure suits…
🌹The 1st branch became the main workshop atelier where with over 20 tailors and trainees were producing by hand-made all the pieces of a men’s suit…
🌹1963
The 3rd Branch was established at:
Hamra street
Strand building - Beirut
The business was bustling and very rewarding...
🌹1964
Henri Fouad, the third child of the Founder, joined after his return from his studies in Switzerland in 1965... Henri learned his trade from his father and thus became the second generation in tailoring. Later it was Henry who started the pret-a-porter line of Fouad Rahmé Establishment…
🌹1975
In 1975, the civil war erupted in Lebanon. The family, under the auspices of the Eminent Royal member of the Saud Family, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdelaziz Al Saud... (The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman since 2015)
the 4tht branch was established in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia.
Airport Street
All branches in Lebanon were closed till 1992.
🌹2010
The third Generation
🌹Ralph Henri has come into this business as the 3rd generation in the family.
🌹Ralph is strengthening the Rahme house of Tailoring and burgeoning it strongly into a new line of creativity.
🌹Ralph is giving a new wave of design internationally and specifically to the Saudi market.
Ralph takes clients only by appointment... while preparing for a Grand-opening in Beirut...
2020 A new horizon is opened by Ralph, the E-market for men’s clothings and accessories is already undertaken to supply clients with easy reach...
