Šī izstāde ir par dzīvu tradīciju. Par to, kā Austrumu kultūrā dzimusī ebru māksla turpina attīstīties, tiek nodota tālāk un pārtop jaunā laikā un jaunā kontekstā.
Šeit eksponētie darbi atspoguļo daudzu gadu garumā veidotu dialogu starp skolotāju un skolniekiem, starp Turciju un Latviju, starp kanonu un individuālo māksliniecisko balsi. Mums bija svarīgi parādīt ebru nevis kā sastingušu formu, bet gan kā procesu — atvērtu, jūtīgu un mūsdienīgu.
Projekts apvieno glezniecību, skaņu un pašu radīšanas aktu. Mēs aicinām jūs ne tikai skatīties, bet arī izdzīvot šo pieredzi kā tradīcijas un pašreizējā mirkļa satikšanos.
💫Curatorial Statement 💫
This exhibition is about a living tradition — about how the art of ebru, rooted in Eastern culture, continues to evolve, to be transmitted, and to be reinterpreted in a new time and a new context.
The works presented here are the result of a long-term dialogue between teacher and students, between Turkey and Latvia, between canon and individual artistic voice. It was important for us to present ebru not as a fixed or static form, but as a process — open, sensitive, and contemporary.
The project brings together painting, sound, and the very act of creation. We invite the viewer not only to observe, but to experience this encounter — as a meeting of tradition and the present moment.

Bu sergi, yaşayan bir geleneğe odaklanmaktadır — Doğu kültüründe doğmuş olan ebru sanatının, yeni bir zamanda ve yeni bir bağlamda nasıl gelişmeye, aktarılmaya ve yeniden yorumlanmaya devam ettiğine dair bir anlatı sunar.
Burada yer alan eserler, usta ile öğrenciler arasında, Türkiye ile Letonya arasında, kanon ile bireysel sanatsal ifade arasında yıllar içinde oluşmuş bir diyaloğun sonucudur. Bizim için önemli olan, ebruyu donmuş bir form olarak değil; açık, duyarlı ve çağdaş bir süreç olarak ortaya koymaktı.
Proje, resim, ses ve üretim eylemini bir araya getirir. İzleyiciyi yalnızca bakmaya değil, bu deneyimi yaşamaya davet ediyoruz — geleneğin ve şimdiki anın buluşması olarak.
