🔹 Structure
• Collar: Mandarin-style (stand collar / upright collar)
• Front: Loop-and-knot fabric fastenings (instead of buttons)
• Sleeves: Long-sleeved
• Fit: Straight cut, loose for comfort
• Fabric: Usually cotton or silk, breathable for tropical climate

🔹 History
• The Taikpon shirt is a traditional Burmese men’s attire, worn over the paso (longyi).
• It became popular in the Konbaung dynasty (18th–19th century) and was originally associated with formality and prestige.
• The design shares influences with Chinese-style jackets (Mandarin collars and loop knots), but evolved into a uniquely Burmese form.
• Today, the taikpon is worn on formal occasions, ceremonies, and cultural events.
🔹 သမိုင်း
• Taikpon ရှပ်အင်္ကျီသည် မြန်မာအမျိုးသားများ၏ ရိုးရာဝတ်စုံဖြစ်ပြီး ပါဆို(လုံဂျီ)ကို ဝတ်ဆင်ထားသည်။
• ကုန်းဘောင်မင်းဆက် (၁၈ ရာစုမှ ၁၉ ရာစု) တွင် ပေါ်ပြူလာဖြစ်လာပြီး မူလပုံစံနှင့် ဂုဏ်ဒြပ်တို့နှင့် ဆက်စပ်နေပါသည်။
• ဒီဇိုင်းသည် တရုတ်စတိုင်အကျီများ (မန်ဒရင်ကော်လာများနှင့် ကြိုးချည်များ) နှင့် လွှမ်းမိုးမှုရှိသော်လည်း ထူးခြားသောမြန်မာပုံစံအဖြစ် ပြောင်းလဲလာသည်။
• ယနေ့ခေတ်အခါသမယများ၊ အခမ်းအနားများနှင့် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုပွဲများတွင် ဝတ်ဆင်ကြသည်။
