💙 A little blue sewing project

Finally finished this little clasp-frame coin pouch using the beautiful Tilda Blue Collection.

🧵 Frame: 8.5cm
🎀 Added a little bow + vintage lace for my own touch.

I got these beautiful fabrics from Fabric Fanatic — and I love how a few pieces of fabric can slowly turn into something useful and special. 💙

Sharing the pattern too, in case anyone feels like making one. The original tutorial by Handmadiya comes with 4 sizes: 6.5cm, 7.5cm, 8.5cm & 10.5cm.

Thank you Fabric Fanatics for being part of my sewing journey. 🧵💙

Let’s keep sewing, sharing and growing our patchwork community together. ❤️

🌸 My Japanese Garden is slowly blooming…

This piece has been growing quietly in the background of my sewing journey.

The stems are hand appliquéd, the leaves are blanket stitched, and the flower petals are prepared using a turned-edge appliqué method.

Now the four centre corner blocks are finally coming together, and I’m ready to move on to the outer corners.

Still a long way to go… but I’m enjoying every little step. 🌿🧵

A little sewing, a little helping hands. ❤️

Today, our studio turned into a mini pouch-making corner with a small group of sewing friends.

We spent the afternoon working together on pouches for children cancer patients in government hospitals.

Nothing fancy, just fabric, sewing machines, helping hands and a little time given to something meaningful. 🧵❤️

Thank you to everyone who came and helped today.

This is a long-term little project, and I’m happy to see it slowly growing, one pouch at a time.

Sew a little. Give a little. ❤️

Slowly, the studio is coming together. 🌿

One of the little things I added was the curtains — both the window curtains and the curtain separating the kitchen and living area.

It may seem like a small detail, but somehow it makes the space feel softer, warmer and more like a sewing studio. 🧵🤍

Still lots to do… but I’m enjoying watching this space slowly become mine.

Every sewing space has a first class.

Ours wasn’t perfect.

We tested the table layout, extension wiring, air-conditioning and sewing flow…

More importantly, we filled the room with laughter, conversations and creativity.

Looking back, that first trial session gave me the confidence to continue building this dream.

🌷 This little wall hanging will always have a special place in my heart.

Inspired by a wonderful teacher from Taiwan, it became the very first artwork to hang in my sewing studio.

Every time I walk into the studio, it reminds me why I started this journey—to create a cozy space filled with creativity, friendships, and handmade stories.

Sometimes it’s the smallest projects that become the most meaningful.

Morning after morning, I drove past this condo wondering if it would ever sell.

After more than a year with very little interest, I made a different decision.

Instead of waiting…

I decided to turn it into my first sewing classroom.

For nine days, my husband, two wonderful sewing friends and I planned, searched for second-hand furniture, cleaned, arranged, tested and prepared every corner before welcoming our very first students.

It wasn’t perfect.

The curtains weren’t even finished yet.

But we believed it was enough to begin.

Looking back now, those nine days weren’t just about setting up a classroom.

They were about taking the first step toward a dream.

Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way. ❤️

This is only Chapter 2 of my journey.

More stories are coming soon.
