Two days. One ecosystem. Endless possibilities.

Day 1: Where deals are made, businesses connect, and fashion becomes real enterprise.

Day 2: Where culture comes alive, creativity takes the stage, and talent is celebrated.

This is more than an event.

This is The Fashion Games, theme: Ahแป‹a 360 โ€” the full circle of fashion.

Changing the narrative around Intellectual Property and production in Abia state, Aba, is not a one-day conversation โ€” itโ€™s a commitment.

At the IPR event, we took intentional steps to shift perspectives, spark conversations, and empower creatives and producers (and the demand market) to see the value in protecting and owning their work.

This is how we enable the movement from imitation to innovation.

This is how we build a future that respects creation.

Look through to see, read, and learn more about what went down โ†’

More than fashion.

The Fashion Games is a business, culture, and opportunity.

A platform where creativity meets commerce, it connects designers, artisans, industry leaders and policy makers.

Itโ€™s a space to compete, to showcase and grow!

From runway to marketplace, trade fairs and parades, economic conversations and deal roomsโ€ฆ..this is where fashion becomes enterprise.

Ethnocentrique convened an Intellectual Property Rights Advocacy Workshop in Aba, Abia State, bringing together MSMEs, government stakeholders, and ecosystem players to address one of the most pressing challenges in the fashion industry: Intellectual Property protection.

Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna SAN - Attorney General and Honorable Commissioner for Justice for Abia State, Uchechukwu Kalu Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education representating the Honorable Commissioner, Eze Linus Okezie
Chairman, Abia State Chapter, National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr Chinedu Blaise Okoroafor of Tsedaqah attorneys and many more actors across the value chain were involved in the conversations.

Before women carry communities, they first begin as girls learning who they are.

As part of our International Womenโ€™s Month activities, Ethnocentrique spent time with students at a secondary school in our community, having honest conversations about identity, resilience, and the journey of becoming.

We discussed self-awareness, the courage to speak up, and the power of taking action in shaping the kind of women they will become.

Their questions, reflections, and enthusiasm reminded us that when girls are supported early, they grow into women who uplift and transform society.

08/03/2026

We gathered industry actors this International Womenโ€™s Day to reflect on a powerful idea:

๐†๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐†๐š๐ข๐ง โ€” ๐–๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ž, ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ.

Across the creative eco-system, women are not just participants: they are producers, entrepreneurs, and industry builders. Their skills, leadership, and enterprise continue to power value chains and strengthen local industries.

Investing in womenโ€™s productivity means unlocking growth, innovation, and opportunity across the entire ecosystem.

Because when women produce, industries donโ€™t just grow, they thrive.

Behind every thriving community are women who create, nurture, lead, and build.

Today, we celebrate their courage, their work, and their impact.

Because when women move forward, the world moves forward with them.

Spotlight: Bolanle Austen-Peters โ€“ Storytelling as Industry, Culture as Power

When it comes to building world-class creative institutions in Nigeria, Bolanle Austen-Peters stands in a league of her own.

As the founder of Terra Kulture and the powerhouse behind BAP Productions, she has transformed storytelling into structured enterprise, creating platforms where theatre, film, and culture are not just performed, but professionalised.

From stage productions that celebrate Nigerian history to films that travel beyond our borders, her work proves that the creative sector is not informal, it is industry. It is jobs. It is infrastructure. It is economic contribution.

For Ethnocentrique, she represents what it means to build institutions, not just moments. To invest in systems, not just spotlight. To tell African stories with scale, structure, and global ambition.

โœจ Fun fact: Bolanle Austen-Petersโ€™ productions have helped revive large-scale stage theatre in Nigeria, while her films continue to expand the commercial viability of indigenous storytelling.

Spotlight: Omoyemi Akerele โ€“ Shaping African Fashion Beyond Borders

When it comes to African fashion on the global stage, Omoyemi Akerele is a force that can not be ignored. As the founder of Lagos Fashion Week and Style House Files, she has tirelessly championed the richness, diversity, and innovation of African designers.

Creatives in Nigeria, tax changes are here !
Itโ€™s not about hiding money, itโ€™s about describing it correctly.

How money is described affects whether itโ€™s taxed. Some receipts are not income when documented correctly, including gifts, refunds, personal transfers, loans, and capital contributions.

Understanding this helps artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers, and makers manage tax liabilities legally and smartly.
