Join the Adire Batik and Tie-Dye making workshop organized by Rosemary Akwashiki Brand in partnership with Lowo Africa and The Enabled Woman Initiative by RA for 2 days of intensive training. This is a great opportunity to learn a craft that is economically viable and easy to do and will also connect you to the Nigerian culture through Adire using different batik and tie-dye techniques.

In recent years, there has been a very high demand for tie-dye and batik Adire fabrics not just in Nigeria but across the globe. Adire making has now become a viable business and an avenue for artistic expression especially as people are looking to explore more locally produced fabrics especially. Fashion designers have taken Adire to the next level creating exceptional designs in various textures like cotton, linen, chiffon etc. Even interior designers use Adire for throw pillows, wall paintings, murals etc.

A few months ago, I shared pictures and a video of the founder of , Solomon Ochoyo, a 19 years old 200L business admin student of Unijos who makes beautiful tie-dye tee-shirts, hoodies, bags etc (You need to check out his page on IG to see his amazing work). The young dude has kept himself busy despite the ASUU strike doing good work running his business. I met Solomon at a fair at Abuja of Commerce and Industry and learnt he came all the way from Jos to sell his products.

It's high time we start equipping our youths with skills they can use to improve their lives. For a start, you could choose to sponsor someone for this intensive Adire making workshop or attend yourself. I promise, it's great for your mental health. And for those who want to β€˜jappa’, you will definitely want that extra source of income too and who knows, you could start a business from this. (I'm willing to share ideas).

You will be learning from one of the best as our Head Trainer, Lowo Africa is a seasoned artist and textile designer with over 25 years experience in textile designing and Adire making.

You can find all the details on the flier or call 09026646088 for further inquiries.
