One fine night, at about 11:15pm, my friend was awake studying when suddenly he heard a loud knocking sound on the door... when he went there he saw a young kid nearly 10-12 years old who told him that he had by mistake come to this side of the highway road and he wanted his help to cross the road back as his mother had told him not to do that alone as the highway has many over speeding trucks.
My friend told the boy to start walking down meanwhile he will lock the door and join him but the moment that boy started going, my friend locked the door behind and moved inside as he was not sure why such a boy was out at such ungodly hour.
A few moments later again, there was a loud knocking on the door and this time even his roommate who was sleeping got up, to whom my friend explained the situation and said not to entertain that boy, but his roommate said that he is just a boy and they should help.
Now they both decided to help him out and came to the edge of the highway from where they can cross roads.

Upon crossing the road, the young boy asked them to walk him up to his house as it was dark, so they both started walking along with him until they saw an old abandoned-looking house.
Now my friend told me that he saw someone standing on the rooftop in the dark so that he can only make up the outline of that person/thing.
They noticed that whoever was there on the roof ran backward, and within a few minutes that figure was seen running towards them from the main entrance. It was dark, late at night and someone was chasing them so they both ran like crazy.
My friend managed to cross back the road shouting and yelling which attracted other neighbors, my friend explained everything to them and told them that his roommate was missing.
