EPISODE 7: At This Point I Was Confused 😭

My beautiful people, at this point I started asking myself if I actually came to work or if I mistakenly entered one reality TV show 😭

Because every single day there was always one problem or another. As I was still trying to understand my own work, I was already doing manager work, receptionist work and still trying to survive small god and the boss 😩

The funny thing was that I wasn’t even properly trained. So imagine somebody expecting perfection from you in a place where nobody even sat down to explain things properly.

Any little mistake problem.

If customers complained problem.

If staff had issues somehow the matter would still find my table 😭

My beautiful people, I just kept telling myself, Calm down, maybe things will get better.

Little did I know that the real episode had not even started 😳

EPISODE 6: The Signs Were There Since Day 3 😭

My beautiful people, I was actually supposed to notice there was a problem on my third day of training 😭

Number one, I was not trained on anything. My colleague that came for interview with me on the same day but started before me was the one training me.

My beautiful people, this girl did not train me on anything 😭 All she did was send me up and down, shout here and there and be speaking big big grammar everywhere.

I remember one day I was on call with my mom and she started shouting that I was not supposed to speak Yoruba because the company doesn’t want it or something like that 😭 The way she carried herself ehn…

Few minutes later, this same girl was on call blowing Ijesha 😂

I calmly asked her, “You are from where?” She said her mom is from the West while her dad is from the East.

God 😭 My brain wan blow.

Anytime she had issues with anyone, the company would definitely be in trouble. She would be going around saying different things about the girls, threatening them and even going as far as throwing their bags outside.

The work she was actually employed for, she would leave it and start looking for faults and problems where there was none 😭

Anytime new staff trained with her, they would never come back. She was toxic, rude and honestly

There wasn’t much difference between her and the boss 😭

Honestly, I don’t think the boss needed managers. She just needed someone that would be saying “Okay ma, yes ma” to everything.

Because if you ask questions problem. If you don’t ask questions bigger problem 😩 She would insult you, swear for you and make you feel as if you are useless and nothing.

God 😭 If my enemy wanted to apply for a job in that place, I would stop them.

Episode 5: My Shift Was No Longer Normal 😳

So as those four men walked in, I looked up and welcomed them with my customer service smile that I had learned by force 😭

Inside my mind I was already counting hours for my shift to end because I was tired physically, mentally and emotionally.

They sat down and from the way they were acting, I just had this feeling that this night would not be a quiet one. You know that kind of feeling when your mind is telling you, “Something is not adding up here” 🤔

I quickly focused on my work because at this point my own was simple do my job, avoid problem and go home peacefully.

Little did I know that peace had already carried bag and left before I even resumed that shift 😭

And to make matters worse, small god the second manager was around that day…

My friend, from there the episode changed completely 😩

Episode 4 of why I resign after 1month of working as a manager
Four Men Walked In…

So while I was doing both manager and receptionist work, I saw hell 😭

Clients would walk in, look me from head to toe and lick their lips like I was on the menu 😳 You know those uncomfortable looks that instantly make you feel awkward. Some would even say things like, You're so beautiful, you have a big front your face is sweet thats how you will be sweet or start making comments that had nothing to do with work.

Meanwhile me that doesn't even know how to smile at strangers naturally, I had to learn by force and keep smiling because customer service no know anybody 😭

And my boss? Ahhh… she's one of the most toxic people I have ever worked with in my life.

The work schedule for managers was 2 days on, 2 days off, while others had 2 days off in a whole week.

Then one night, a group of four men walked in...

And from that moment, my shift was no longer normal 😳
