(5) MAIN THINGS YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE APPLYING FOR NOUN Admission👇
1) O’Level Requirements: 5 Credits, Including English & Maths
For 100 Level undergrad, you need at least 5 O’Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings.
Non-negotiable: English Language and Mathematics must be among them for ALL faculties.
Note: Some of the art courses doesn’t need maths e.g Philosophy, CRS, IRS etc
2) No JAMB/UTME Needed for Most Undergraduate Programmes
This is NOUN’s biggest advantage. You can apply directly without writing JAMB.
But for 200 or 300 Level entry, you’ll need Direct Entry qualifications: ND, HND, NCE, A-Levels, IJMB, JUPEB, etc.
3) Age & Study Mode: It’s Flexible, But You Must Be 16+
Minimum age is 16 years at application.
NOUN is ODL = Open & Distance Learning. No daily classes. You can be working and be in School at the same time, You study from anywhere using course our provided comprehensive and well detailed materials + online resources + physical tutorial support for our GEN Z 🤓 at your nearest study centre. That means self-discipline is required. (For the physical tutorials/classes for the GEN Z who are not working yet you can message us so we link you up with one around your study center)
5) Programme-Specific Requirements Matter.
General 5 credits isn’t enough for every course. Check your faculty:
- Management Sciences, Education, Science: Must include English + Maths
- Nursing Science: 5 credits in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology + RN license + 6 months experience
- Postgraduate: PGD needs a pass degree or HND Lower Credit. Masters needs Second Class Lower. PhD needs a Masters with min 60% or CGPA 4.0/5.0
5) The Application Process is 100% Online after the admission processing thenYou’ll Visit a Study Centre for the physical screening.
Quick reality check:
NOUN degrees are NUC-accredited and NYSC-eligible, but it’s limited on lab-based courses like Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy.
