Life will humble you in the most unexpected ways.😂🤣
I was simply arranging my home… packing, moving things, trying to create order…
Not knowing that in the process, I was about to lose a part of my journey.
A sack… just one sack…
A sack I had carefully kept — filled with my beading tools, wirework instruments, fashion tools and materials I had built and gathered for over 20 years — was mistakenly thrown away. My eyelet machine was inside… priceless coral beads I had saved for years, crystals, beading loom, many accessories I don't want to remember… all gone.
Gone🙆🏽♀️
Just like that.
And I didn't notice until many days after.
And yes… it hurt deeply.
Because we don’t just lose things — we lose the stories, the effort, the years behind them.
But in that moment of pain, a deeper truth settled in my spirit…
“What really belongs to me?”
If it can be taken…
If it can be lost…
Then maybe it was never truly mine to keep forever.
And that truth is uncomfortable… but freeing.
We came with nothing. We will leave with nothing. (1 Timothy 6:7)
This moment took me back to my roots— EGBAIYELO!
Let us not forget our Creator in the midst of our hustle.
Let us not become so attached to things that we forget the One who gave us life.
So what then truly matters?
So why do we hold so tightly?
Why do we forget that everything here is temporary?
The real question is not “What did I lose?”
The real question is “What do I still have?”
If there is still life, there is still hope.
If I can still breathe, I can still begin again.
I have life.
I have breath.
I have God.
That means I can start again.
And this is the real reminder — not the things we lose, but the lives we lose.
Things can be replaced.
Life cannot.
So today, I release the pain.
I release the attachment.
I release the illusion of control.
I choose faith over loss.
I choose peace over pain.
I choose the courage to start again.
And I hold on to the only thing that truly matters — God.
Because at the end of it all…
When the final curtain falls…
We will not carry our possessions.
We will not carry our achievements.
We will only carry our souls.
So live wisely.
Love deeply.
And may Lord prepare us for eternity, Amen 🙏🏽
