Cotton wool, tissue, foam, and even rags - these are what many Nigerian girls use during their periods because pads are too expensive, and prices keep rising.The result? Embarrassment, infections, and missed school days. This is called period poverty, but I want to change that.

This May, I’m wearing red every week to raise funds for a project that will provide sustained and consistent access to pads for girls who need them most.
