One of the occupational hazards of being a fashion designer? Needle injuries. 🪡🥹

It's amazing that after 11+ years of sewing—and countless needle pricks—I still haven't gotten used to the pain. Every single one still hurts! 😂

But then again... no glory without a little pain. 🤭

Every gorgeous dress, every satisfied client, and every beautiful masterpiece reminds me that the process is worth it. The injuries may be gory, but the results are always gorgeous. 💙✨

Fashion consultation is definitely one of my favourite things to do as a fashion designer. Helping a client choose styles that best suit their body type, combining different styles to create a new one, suggesting appropriate fabrics, deciding suitable accessories, and lots more...

It's so much fun if the client completely trust my judgement in fashion designing and knows how to effectively communicate their likes, dislikes and preferences.🙃

There are different seasons in life, and the same is true for every business.

I remember a season when, for almost six months, I barely touched my manual sewing machines because my industrial machine handled almost everything.

Then another season came when, for weeks, I hardly used the industrial machine due to circumstances like power supply and other challenges. After I got my shop, there were days electricity would be available while I was at home, but my industrial machine was at the shop. So, I simply picked up my manual sewing machine and kept working.

One thing I've learned is this: don't despise the tools or seasons that seem small. Every season has something to teach you, and every tool has its purpose.

Whether it's an industrial machine or a manual one, the sound of a sewing machine is music to my ears. ❤️🧵

POSTING MY IMPERFECTIONS.

For a long time, I've held back from posting some of my work because the perfectionist in me always whispered, "It's not good enough."

But I've decided to change that.

Instead of waiting until everything is "perfect," I'll keep showing up, learning, improving, and sharing my journey. Growth comes from consistency, not perfection.

So if you see me posting more often, know that you're witnessing not just my work, but my progress.
I won't stop creating or posting until even the voice in my head agrees: "This is good."
