July has always been a special month to me because it's my birth month. But now, I have another beautiful reason to celebrate this month.

This year, July didn't just add another year to my life, it gave me one of life's greatest gifts. My precious baby girl.

As I celebrate my birthday today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. God has been so kind. He has blessed me with life, good health, another year of growth, and the privilege of becoming a mother for the second time.

Looking back, I can only say, Ebenezer, thus far the Lord has helped me.

Happy birthday to me!

Here's to more grace, more purpose, more joy, and a lifetime of reasons to celebrate.

As a pregnant mama did you plan a maternity shoot but never actually got one? You are not alone.

I used to think every pregnant woman had beautiful maternity pictures until I experienced pregnancy for myself.

The truth is, as your bump gets bigger, even everyday activities can leave you completely drained. By that stage, the idea of dressing up, doing your makeup, changing outfits, and standing in front of a camera for hours can feel like a full-time job.

That was me with my first pregnancy. I skipped the maternity shoot because the whole process honestly looked exhausting.

This time, I told myself, that I will do it anyway. And I'm so glad I did.

But here's my favourite part, I didn't just wear a maternity gown, I made it myself.

I found a style I loved, challenged myself to recreate it, and seeing it come together made the photos even more meaningful. It's one of those memories I'll always treasure because I didn't just create a dress, I created a piece of my own story.

Now I need your honest opinion.

The first picture is my inspiration, and the next is my recreation. How did I do?

Be kind o, but be honest too. What score would you give me out of 10?

And to all the mamas in this community, did you have a maternity shoot during your pregnancy, or did pregnancy exhaustion win? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments.

It's been one week of being a mother for the second time.

Thank You, Abba, for this beautiful addition to my family. Every sleepless night, every tiny cry, every cuddle reminds me of Your faithfulness.

My heart is full, and I'm grateful for this precious gift.

If you've been wondering where I've been, I've been busy nurturing my newest blessing. Now that she's here, and we're settling into our new rhythm, I'll be back soon.

Thank you for your patience, your love, and for sticking around. I can't wait to share this next chapter with you.

September last year, I said yes to learning something new.

Since then, there have been missed classes, ripped seams, countless mistakes, moments of self-doubt, and small wins worth celebrating.

Motherhood may have slowed my pace, but it never stopped my progress.

So if you're a mum feeling like life has put your dreams on hold, remember this: you don't have to move fast to move forward. Keep showing up. One day, you'll look back and realize just how far you've come.

My daughter's first birthday outfit was everything I imagined.

It was beautiful.
It was picture-perfect.
I couldn't wait to see her in it.

But before the photoshoot was even over, I noticed something wasn't right.

Her neck had turned red.
Her little body was covered in rashes from scratching.
The fabric was itching her so badly.

As a mum, my heart broke.

That day, I learnt a lesson I'll never forget:

Just because a fabric is beautiful doesn't mean it's right for children.

Our little ones have delicate skin. They run, sweat, play, and move all day. The fabric we choose matters just as much as the design.

So if you're shopping or sewing for your child, here are a few things to look out for:

Choose soft fabrics that are gentle on the skin.

Go for breathable materials so they don't get too hot.

Pick fabrics with a little stretch so they can move freely.

Make sure they're durable enough to survive all the washing, running, climbing, and playing.

A cute outfit is lovely, but a comfortable child is even better.

Have you ever bought an outfit your child couldn't wait to take off because it was itchy or uncomfortable? I'd love to hear your story in the comments. Let's help each other make better choices for our little ones.
