You can spend 4 to 5 years in school and still graduate with nothing to show for it beyond a certificate.

While you’re chasing your CGPA, build a skill.
While you’re attending lectures, build connections.
While you’re writing exams, learn something practical.
While you’re waiting for graduation, prepare for the job market.

Don’t wait until NYSC to start asking, What can I actually do?

School is not just about passing courses.
It’s about preparing yourself for life after school.

If the school gives you a course you never applied for, don’t accept it simply because you’re afraid of losing admission.

Ask yourself If I graduate with this degree, what exactly can I do with it?

Because accepting anything today just to become a graduate tomorrow can land you in the queue of unemployed graduates. 🎓

Choose wisely. Your degree should be a pathway, not a trap.

Don’t wait until final year before you start taking your grades seriously. Those first semester scores will follow you throughout your university journey.

Build a strong foundation from Year 1, because by the time you’re graduating, you don’t want to be struggling to repair a CGPA you could have protected from the beginning.

Start strong. Stay consistent. Graduate with a result you’re proud of.

“Sorry, you didn’t meet the requirements for that one. How about this other course?” 😭

And because you’re scared of losing the admission, you click ACCEPT.

Please, before you accept that alternative course, ask yourself

“If I was not offered my first choice, do I actually want this one?”

Because admission is not the achievement. Getting the right degree for the future you want is. 🎓
