Contribute Meaningfully To Society, Soludo Urges Batch A Stream II Corps Members

The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo has advised Batch A Stream II corps members to contribute meaningfully to the society for the growth and development of the state.
Soludo gave the advice during the batch A stream II NYSC official closing ceremony of the first cardinal orintation progam to begin the second cardinal program which is done to hand over corps members to their employers for their primary assignment.
The event took place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA.
Gov. Soludo represented by the Chief of Staff, Mr Enrest Ezeajughi noted that there are a lot of companies in the state waiting to get and tap from their services for the development of Anambra State.
"I have been briefed and I also witnessed your active participation in the activities and adminstrations in the three weeks course toward team work and attention to duties.
"I personally have witnessed this during your parade, with this development i have no doubt that your leadership role outside here will be superlative; I think this is what we are preaching here in Anambra State where we are talking about bringing back law and order, good governance.
"You have to show good example to the teeming population of Ndi Anambra and as you are here in Anambra you are already one of us."
According to him, federal government has invested a lot in this scheme through different activities and training aimed at throwing out vibrant educated youths such as skills acqusition, entreprenuship development, finacial inclusion, funding options, SSDE programs, digital skills and orders.
"So be part of those that will reciprocate them and keying into them with a view to making yourself relevant to the society.
"We are talking about digital skills in our government, one of our cardinal objective is to make Anambra State a digital tribe and that is why we established office of the Special Adviser on digital and innovation which working hard to make sure that the majority teeming population of Anambra youths benefit on the digital economy.
"The country and the state is working to make sure that it is something that everyone would benefit in."
The governor explained that Anambra State Government have adquate plans and welfare for them. Ndi Anambra in their usual hospitable nature are all aware and are waiting to integrate you into our folks.
He advised them to respect the culture of their hosts communities. are and be ready to contribute their quota toward their developmental agenda.
According to him, in Anambra State, we have a tradition of rewarding hard work at the end of the service in form of different awards and the process for the selection starts right from the camp.
He praised the Traditional Rulers of the two host communities, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu of Umuawulu and Igwe Peter Anugwu of Mbaukwu as well as their subjects for their hospitality.
Soludo also congratulated the NYSC as it marked five decades of fostering national unity and development.
The Anambra State NYSC Co-odindator, Mrs Blessing Ekene Iruma said, " the moral of the corps members has been boosted to meet up with the needed requirements for entering into second cardinal primary assignment program during the three weeks oronation course.
She said that the three weeks program have been action part as the corps members have been exposed to interlecture and physical training such as skills, lectures on different national topics, man no war training and intensive skill and development entreprenuship skills training.
"t is expected that our corps members fellowed up their entreprenuship training up to master level and also translate the lesson learned into practical things in their different places of primary assignment.
"My beloved corps members, few days from now NYSC will mark 50 years anniversary, precisely on May 22; activities to mark this event has been lined up both at the state and national level.
"This historical event tagged NYSC at 50 celebration which incidentally coincided with the done of your service has distinguished your batch as a special golden age corps members.
"So i urge you as golden age corps members to go beyond the ordinary, think creatively and do things better for humanity."
She reminded them that at interl, they will be monitored by the NYSC official to ascertain their level of integration in their host communities. (MOI)
