Stay away from legalism. ✝️

Legalism tells you to trust in your performance. The gospel tells you to trust in Christ's finished work.

We obey God not to earn His acceptance, but because we have already been accepted in Christ by grace through faith.

Don't exchange the freedom of the gospel for the bo***ge of self-righteousness.

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bo***ge."

📖 Galatians 5:1

Is Jesus "not better than us"? A Biblical Reflection

A recent theological discussion has centered on a statement attributed to Dr. Abel Damina: "Jesus is not better than us." Unsurprisingly, it has generated strong reactions. But before agreeing or disagreeing, it's important to understand what is actually being debated.

One side emphasizes the believer's identity in Christ. Through the new birth, believers become children of God, receive Christ's life, are made righteous in Him, and are called His brethren. Scripture teaches that we are new creations and heirs with Christ. This is a glorious truth that every Christian should understand and embrace.

The other side reminds us that while believers share in Christ's life by grace, Jesus remains absolutely unique. He is the eternal Son of God, God manifested in the flesh, the Creator of all things, the Savior of the world, and the Head of the Church. His divine nature, authority, and glory belong to Him alone.

The Bible holds both truths together.

Yes, we are complete in Christ.
Yes, we are sons and daughters of God through faith.
Yes, we are being conformed to Christ's image.

But Christ is still preeminent.

Our identity is found in Him, not apart from Him. We share in His life by grace, but we do not become equal to Him in His deity, His office, or His eternal glory.

As Paul wrote:

"That in all things He might have the preeminence." — Colossians 1:18

The goal of sound doctrine is not to make believers think less of what Christ has done in them, nor to make them think more highly of themselves than Scripture allows. It is to exalt Christ while helping believers understand who they are because of Him.

Let's be Bereans (Acts 17:11). Examine every teaching carefully, search the Scriptures, and let God's Word—not personalities—be our final authority.

💬 What do you think? How should we balance our identity in Christ with Christ's unique supremacy?

Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche responds to critics of Christianity.
Anyone saying Christianity is secondary in Nigeria is making a claim that is completely detached from reality. Christianity remains one of the largest and most influential faiths in the country, with millions of believers and a significant impact on education, healthcare, humanitarian work, and society.

Good Success Comes Through Obedience to God and his word.
Many people measure success by money, fame, influence, or achievements. But God's definition of success is very different.
Joshua 1:8 teaches that good success is found in delighting in God's Word, meditating on it, and living in obedience to it. God never promised that obedience would make life easy, but He did promise that His Word would guide us into a life that pleases Him.
True success is not simply getting what you want. It is becoming the person God has called you to be. A person may gain the whole world and still fail in God's eyes. But the one who walks with God has already found the greatest success.
Obedience is not a way of earning God's favor. We obey because we love Him and trust His wisdom. God's commands are not burdensome—they are given for our good. Every act of obedience draws us closer to Him, strengthens our faith, and shapes our character to reflect Christ.
When God's Word becomes the foundation of your decisions, your priorities begin to change. You no longer chase success at any cost. Instead, you seek to honor God in every area of your life, knowing that lasting success is measured by faithfulness, not popularity.
"Good success is attained through obedience to God and His Word." ✝️
📖 Joshua 1:8
May we pursue the kind of success that heaven approves—the success that comes from knowing God, trusting His Word, and walking faithfully with Him every day.
To God alone be the glory.
