CHAPTER 8

Abu Abdulrahman: ASalam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatu. He said as he returned from the airport to pick up his sister.
Abdulrahman:Wa alaikum Salam warahmatullah wabarakatu abu. He opened the door. BIG UMMU!!!!. Abdulrahman said as he hugged his aunt.
Ummu Yusuf: My boy!!! How are you?
Abdulrahman: Alhamdullilah am fine ma. How is sister Aneesah, bro Yusuf and Muhammad ?.
Abu Abdulrahman:At least let your aunt in.
Abdulrahman:Oh sorry ma. , Pls come in.
Umm Yusuf: Thank you. They are all fine.
Abdulrahman:Ummi!!!!! Big summer is here. He shouted to inform his mom.
Abu Abdulrahman:Go and call ummu Ayman and inform.
Abdulrahman:Okay. He left, and Abdulrahman entered the living room.
Umm Abdulrahman: ASalam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatu aunty mi. She said as she hug her sister-in-law.
Umm Abdulrahman:Wa alaikum Salam warahmatullah wabarakatu iyawo. How are you?.
Umm Abdulrahman: Alhamdullilah am fine ma. How was your journey?
Umm Yusuf: Alhamdullilah, not stressful. Abdullah arrived not long before the time I landed. So I was fortunate not to have waited for a long time.
Umm Abdulrahman; Alhamdullilah. She said as Zahra entered.
Zahra: ASalam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatu ma. She greeted with respect.
Umm Yusuf:Wa alaikum Salam warahmatullah wabarakatu dear. How are you?. She is the new wife right? She asked facing Abu Abdulrahman.
Abu Abdulrahman: She is. There is no other person here.
Umm Yusuf:You still don't have respect for me. You deserve a slap for answering like that. It's a YES or NO question. (She stood and knocked her brother.)
Abu Abdulrahman:You know your knock won't hurt me since when I was a kid.
Ummu Yusuf:You are still very stubborn.
Abu Abdulrahman:Smiles.... Can't I joke with you? I was just joking.
Ummu Yusuf: Keep your jokes to yourself.
Abu Abdulrahman: Okay. Am sorry now. Don't get angry you just arrived from a journey. I don't want your husband to take me responsible for stressing his wife.
Umm Yusuf: Apology not accepted. I will surely inform him.
Abu Abdulrahman: Please, and so sorry. He said as he held his ears. Ummu Yusuf:Not accepted.
Abu Abdulrahman:What can I do to appeal to you now? I will buy you a bag.
Ummu Yusuf:I don't want your bag. Don't bribe me.
Abu Abdulrahman:What did you want?
Ummu Yusuf: Introduce me to the wife properly.
Abu Abdulrahman: Sure. He stood up and stayed beside his sister.
Abu Abdulrahman:Ummu Ayman. Meet my darling and lovely elder sister,ummu Yusuf.
And ummu Yusuf, meet my darling new wife, ummu Ayman.
Ummu Yusuf: Hisses. Don't mind him jare. Come (she extended her hand to Zahra for a hug).
Zahra:Nice meeting you ma. She said as she hugged her
Umm Yusuf:Nice to meet you too. I have heard about you from Abdullah. You are Zahra, right?
Zahra:Yes ma
Umm Yusuf:Nice name. Common come have your sit.
Zahra:Thank you ma.
Ummu Yusuf:You are indeed a good girl as I have heard. Ummu Abdulrahman, I would like to thank you for your patience; you are indeed a great woman. May Allah grant you Jannah.
Ummu Abdulrahman:Ameen.
Ummu Yusuf: See, I would like to tell you all something.
Zahra: Okay ma
Ummu Yusuf:You have all done well. I pray Allah bless your home and don't let Shaitan destroy your happy home.

Abdullah, the work is on you. You have to be just and equal between them. You should treat them equally. Remember what the prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has two wives and cannot do justice between them, will come on the Day of Resurrection with one side of his body leaning."
Know how to control your home. The only you can deal with them is with patience. Female needs patience in their matter. May Allah guide you through.
Abu Abdulrahman:Ameen
Ummu Yusuf:And my wives. Please live with each other with the fear of Allah. Your husband's dignity is in your hands. Do all your capability not to shame and embarrass him. Don't fight each other. Although all homes have lapses, if you live with the fear of ALLAH, knowing you will be questioned on everything you do, then you won't have a problem. See each other as sisters; that way, you will be successful.
Remember there is no *BED OF ROSES* anywhere. ALL homes have their weaknesses. But with Allah's help, you can your own one of the best.
If you heard about cases of polygamy you will be scared to go into one. But my sister, let your mindset change. Leave everything to Allah and fear him. Allah will guide you through. I am so happy to see you together.
Zahra:Ameen, thank you ma
Ummu Abdulrahman:Ameen. Thank you, Auntie. We will keep to your advice.
Abu Abdulrahman:Thank you so much big sis. We will remember your advice always, Right?
Ummu Abdulrahman and zahra:Yes, insha Allah
Abu Abdulrahman: Now it's time for announcement.
Ummu Yusuf: What announcement?
Abu Abdulrahman: I have decided that Zahra's and I Walimat nikkah is on the 10th of Next month.
Ummu Yusuf:الف مبروك Congratulations.
Ummu Abdulrahman: Congratulations.Baarakallaahu laka, wa baaraka ‘alayka, wa jama’a baynakumaa fee khayrin.
Zahra:Ameen. Jazakumullahu khairan ma.
Abu Abdulrahman:Ameen. Now let's move to the dining and eat. Am famished.
Ummu Yusuf: I know you are FFO Omo mommy.
Zahra:I will set the table.
They all went to the dining room.

**A month later******
The house was filled with decorations, visitors, laughter, and blissful moments.
The entire of Dr. Abdullah was present,ummu Abdulrahman's sister and friends, Zahra's uncle and his wife. Zahra's friend, some staff of the hospital, and other well-wishers.
Zahra and Umm Abdulrahman were putting on the same attire. Blue khimar and niqab with black shoes.
Some visitors went inside to meet the bride while the program continued outside, where Abu Abdulrahman was sitting outside with his friend in his Simple attire of a white Jalbia with a blue cap.
The imam: Alhamdullilah.
As we all know what we are for today is the Walimatul nikkah of our children "Abdullah and Zahra". I pray Allah SWT filled their home with happiness and blissful union.
The opening recitation has been recited by our child Abdulrahman Abdullah. May Allah grant him more knowledge and make us all among the people of the Quran. Ameen.
The aqid has been fine before with the Mahr of a masjid built in the name of the bride's mother. May Allah forgive her.
But insha Allah, I will call unto the bride's uncle, who is here as her mahram, to come forward, and Abdullah, too, should move closer.
Zahra's uncle: ASalam alaikum sir.
Imam:Wa alaikum Salam.
You are welcome. Now you will say, "I have given my daughter Zahra to Abdullah to be his wife." and Abdullah will accept her.
Zahra's uncle: I hereby give my daughter Zahra's hands in marriage to Abdullah to be his wife.
Abu Abdulrahman:I, Abdullah, accept Zahra as my wife.
Imam:Takbir
The audience:Allahu Akbar
Imam:All of you here are witnesses of their union, yes or no?
The audience:Yes.
The visitors were well served while some important guest food was being packed.
The event continues till the evening. Many people came with gifts for the bride.
Zahra met her in-laws and they all showed nothing apart from love. They all accepted her wholeheartedly, especially her sisters-in-law.

It's almost time for Magrib. All the guests have left except for the family members.
Abu Abdulrahman went inside to get his car keys. He wanted to drop a family friend of his mom off to her place. As he entered the room, he saw Zahra packing her gift inside a bag.
Abu Abdulrahman: ASalam alaikum
Zahra:wa alaikum Salam
Abu Abdulrahman:Well done. I hope today is not stressful
Zahra:Thank you. Alhamdullilah not much.
Abu Abdulrahman: Do you know where my car key is?
Zahra:You dropped it in the wardrobe.
Abu Abdulrahman: Kindly help me with it.
Zahra: Okay, she said as
She turned to bring her husband's key for him.
Zahra:Here you go.
Abu Abdulrahman:Thank you. Do you remember you owned me something?
Zahra:Hmm what?
Abu Abdulrahman:Have you forgotten?
Zahra:Oh I remembered.
Abu Abdulrahman:Good
Zahra:So what is your request?
Abu Abdulrahman:He brought out a box. My request is for you to permit me to put this gift in your hand. He opened the box, which contained silver bracelets and bangles.
Zahra:Yes, sure.
She extended her hand and he wore the bracelet for her.
Zahra: It's so beautiful.
Abu Abdulrahman:Not as much as you are.
Zahra: Thank you.
Abu Abdulrahman:I will be back.
Zahra: Okay.
What a lovely family, Alhamdullilah. Ya Allah am very grateful for given me a very beautiful family. Zahra thought to get self .Which of your favour will I deny? Absolutely none!!!!
