• Reports indicate that the NPFL is planning to increase the 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 for players from ₦200,000 to ₦2 million monthly ahead of the new season. 💵🔥

• This would represent a huge jump in player welfare and could be one of the biggest reforms in Nigerian domestic football in recent years.

• The move is aimed at improving players’ 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, increasing league 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, and reducing the rush for players to leave too early.

• It is also understood that securing proper 𝐓𝐕 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 remains a top priority for next season as league organisers push for bigger commercial growth. 📺📈

The full system must improve.
