There is a different kind of confidence that comes with knowing your clothes fit perfectly.

If you're buying a kaftan, don't make these 4 mistakes.

I've seen people buy a beautiful fabric, choose a nice design and still end up disappointed with the final outfit.

And sometimes, the problem isn't the tailor.

It's the decisions made before the sewing even starts.

Here are 4 mistakes I would advise you to avoid.

1. Choosing the fabric because it looks beautiful in the shop

Not every beautiful fabric will give you the result you want.

Think about the style, the occasion, the weather and how the fabric will behave when it's sewn.

2. Choosing a design without considering the fabric

You see a beautiful kaftan online and want exactly the same thing.

But the fabric you bought may not be suitable for that particular design.

A good tailor should be able to advise you.

3. Taking measurements casually

Please don't say:

«“Just use my old measurement.”»

If the goal is to make the outfit for you, then the measurements should be taken seriously.

A small mistake can affect the fitting of the entire outfit.

4. Choosing a tailor based only on price

I understand that everybody has a budget.

But don't make “Who is the cheapest?” your only question.

Look at their previous work.

Ask questions.

Understand what you're paying for.
