THE EVIL IN THE MARKETPLACE
Ngozi entered the marketplace early that morning with hope in her heart.
She had borrowed money to buy goods. She prayed over them. She believed this was the week everything would change.
But from the moment she spread her items on the table, strange things began to happen.
People would come close… look carefully… price the goods… promise to return — but never came back.
Someone beside her, selling the same thing, kept making sales nonstop.
By afternoon, a woman walked past her stall and whispered:
“Not everything you see in the marketplace is ordinary.”
Ngozi became uncomfortable.
Later that evening, an elderly trader called her aside and asked:
“Did you greet everyone when you arrived this morning?”
She shook her head.
The woman sighed and said,
“My daughter, in this marketplace, some people smile with you but fight you in the spirit.”
That night, Ngozi went home and prayed like never before.
The next day she returned again — but this time differently.
She prayed before opening her shop.
She declared blessings over her goods.
She refused fear.
And that same day…
her first customer came.
Then another.
Then another.
Because sometimes the battle in the marketplace is not only physical — it is spiritual.
