Two weeks ago, a walking, breathing human pamphlet waltzed into my space 🚶‍♂️📜. Fresh off the sidewalk with zero chill, he dropped the classic pitch: "Can I get 10 minutes of your time?" I gave him the polite entrepreneur nod big mistake, huge 🤦‍♀️. Out comes a flyer featuring a grid of aggressively enthusiastic strangers who look like they’ve never touched a sewing machine or faced a payroll deadline in their lives ✨.

According to him, it was the ultimate SME seminar. Networking goldmine. Sponsor paradise 🌴💼.

Naturally, I called his bluff. "So, I can roll up with my business plan and walk out with instant investors?" 💸

Without missing a beat, he lied straight to my face: "Yes! And they’ll even do your CAC registration, too" 🤝🇳🇬.

Spoiler alert: My brand is already officially locked down, so I hit him with the plot twist: "I already have that" 🛑🔏.

Cue the frantic pivot 🔄. Suddenly, registration is just 5,000 Naira. A steal! A giveaway! 🏷️
I held my ground. "Not interested" 🙅‍♀️.

He doubled down, playing the emotional card: "Ah, but you will benefit a lot o!" 🥺📈.

Looking at my budget, which definitely did not include "Random Street Marketer Offering Fantasy Investors," I gave him the classic Nigerian brush-off: "I know, but it’s not in my budget. Take my number, in case I change my mind, I will contact you" 📵 (Translation: Lose my number immediately 🗑️).

Did he take the hint? Absolutely not 💀.

This man has now staged a three-peat 🔄🔄🔄. He has returned to my shop three times since that fateful encounter, treating my doorway like a recurring loyalty program I never signed up for 🚪🏃‍♂️.

Is it by force?
Must I buy a ticket to a seminar to prove I know how to run a business? 🎫🤷‍♀️
