A few weeks ago, my housekeeper called in sick. I thought it was just for the day, but she ended up needing the whole week off.

Since the kids were preparing for exams, I didn’t want to burden them with chores, so I took it all on myself.

That week turned out to be one of the most unproductive weeks I’ve had in a long time.
From cooking, washing plates, mopping, laundry it felt like all I did was clean, cook, and collapse.

I couldn’t focus on work, I couldn’t create, I couldn’t grow. My entire energy was drained by chores.
It reminded me of something important:
House chores are one of the most undervalued forms of work a woman does. People just assume “it’s her job.” Meanwhile, your time is flying, and you're not investing in yourself.

Dear woman, if you can get help, please do. Outsource what you can and use your time to pursue your goals and dreams. You deserve more than being buried in housework every single day.
