A Rights Activist, a Benue Cosmopolitan Politician and a Comrade of positive struggles for emancipation, Rt. Hon. Daniel Edoache Atayi (Engr. Dan Atayi) has consulted with his immediate community of Olengbecho in Ekeh Ward, about his intention to represent the good people of Okpokwu LGA at the Benue State House of Assembly, come 2027.
The Activist reeled out a Two points Blueprint as the manifestos that is pushing him to the State Assembly and that they are what Okpokwu critically needed!
* One of them, is the Principle of power rotation, particularly the governorship seat which has been his Agitation over a decade now, being in the forefront that the people of the State ought to have a state law for the rotation of power to accommodate minority inclusion in the state number one Seat. He lamented the fact that this simple thing has been left unchecked for too long, creating disaffections and stereotypes amongst the Ethnic groups that formed the Tripod upon which Benue State stands. This, he said, should be an executive bill or a legislative one for the political tranquility in the State!
* His second Manifesto, is the struggle for one or two more State Constituencies from the present Okpokwu State Constituency.
He said that Okpokwu LGA is too large to be one state Constituency with just one Assembly Member; having 3 large districts of Edumoga, Okpoga and Ichama, with each enough to be a state Constituency!
He said while it's on record that in the earlier days of democracy, Edumoga district had a state Constituency which it legally won from the Court, but wondered why this large Okpokwu LGA still exists as one state Constituency.
He envisioned the Creation of at most two State Constituencies or at least one more to be added to the existing one.
According to him, it won't even take 4 years to effect that at all, and that the negligence is beginning to affect our population and our representation as Okpokwu people.
His community of Ekeh Olengbecho, supported his mandate massively as he prepares to consult his party, the African Democratic Congress-ADC, both at Ward and LG levels after the congresses.
Dan Atayi has been a sincere Advocate of political egalitarianism, carrying all and sundries along in his struggles for Emancipation.

His consultation marks the beginning of great hope for the Okpokwu people, who shall surely shoulder his campaign and the vision to a logical victory.
