I watched "A Tribe Called Judah" and I literally shed a year watching.
I couldn't imagine that as a Christian girl I kept praying for a robbery to be successful.
This movie; though a tragicomedy left me with a lot of life lessons. Let me share:
➡️Never underestimate anybody, not even the tiniest member of a group/team. Ejiro though underestimated, saved the entire Judah family twice.
➡️You can never underestimate or overlook the power of team work. When you get a gig that is bigger than you especially when you are inexperienced, ask for help. If Shina was allowed to involve his gang earlier. They would have cleaned Collete's team without stress at the mall. Why? The gang had experience in such things, they would have been fully armed and would better know how to make calculated moves.
➡️ Wherever you find yourself in life, always ask the God you serve to increased your sensitivity and sharpen you discernment. Somehow, even before watched halfway I saw the stealing and aggressive potential in the eyes of Collete, and immediately that van pulled up. I knew she was the brain even before watching. Emeka could have known this. He was disciplined but not sensitive enough.
➡️I felt pained when Emeka died like it was real life, but it's good it was Emeka that died, somehow someone would have died among the five. If Emeka didn't die, he would have been the one Chairman would catch first before Adamu, and he was too disciplined and had good values, he would have confessed for Integrity sake.
Adamu though also disciplined took advantage of his calm demeanor which is typical of an average Hausa guy, and was able to subtly and assertively tell a lie and denied knowing anything.
➡️ It's difficult most times to be the only one who has high core value and seeks to maintain good morals, but as long as it is good stick to it. If Emeka didn't follow, he wouldn't have died. He was so responsible that he took responsibility and ensured that his younger siblings got into the siblings
